The WB's
"CHARMED":
A great show!
With a Charming Plot!

The three Halliwell sisters have always been different, not just from the world around them, but from each other. Though bound together by blood and destiny, these twentysomething women could not be further apart. The oldest, Prue (Shannen Doherty, Beverly Hills, 90210, Heathers), determinedly driven to succeed in life, disdains the free-spirited eccentricities of Phoebe (Alyssa Milano, Who's The Boss? Melrose Place), the youngest of the three. Piper (Holly Marie Combs, Picket Fences), the earthy and creative middle sister, believes life is best navigated with a sense of humor and often finds herself in the role of mediator between the other two.

The siblings were willed the house of their childhood, which they inharmoniously share, a grand and mysterious Victorian manor that has been in their family for untold generations and defines the term "fixer-upper." Yet, the discovery that these three sisters are powerful good witches, foretold as the "Charmed Ones," creates a bond that reaches far beyond petty sisterly grudges. They must band together to keep their otherworldly witchcraft a secret and vanquish all evil demons & warlocks.

Shannen Doherty (Prue) left the Show, after the series third season. To keep the power of three bond, a new sister has come about. Rose McGowan plays Paige Mathews a long-lost sister to Phoebe (Milano) and Piper (Combs), and was introduced when the series began its fourth season.

Best known for playing vixens, McGowan left an indelible impression on audiences as a sexy scream queen flattened by a garage door in Wes Craven's Scream. She began her career starring in the edgy independent feature film The Doom Generation by controversial director Gregg Araki, for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination. She has also starred on the big screen in the dark high school comedy Jawbreaker, Monkeybone and Ready to Rumble.
